Sound Card + Fruity Loops Problem
Hi,
I was using my sound blaster audigy with fruity loops and created a cool tune. Now i have upgraded to an M-audio FW Solo and when i go into fruity loops the song i created using the soundblaster plays at a very slow speed. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? Kind Regards Adam |

Are you using both the soundblaster and external M-audio together? Try dropping the sound hardware acceleration in Start > Run > dxdiag > Sound tab.
Do you get the same slowdown when you mix all the tracks down to MP3 or is just when it's played in Fruity Loops? Check the sample rate, it might be set to 22 instead of 44.

Hey,
I slowed the accel down but no change. I then changed the sample rate from 44 to 22 and it speeded it up a little but not enough. Thisdoesntmake sense to me as when iwas using the soundblaster iu had it set to 44. The only differance i notcied was that the buffer rate was 108ms with the sound blaster and 5ms with the m audio. Could this be the problem? Cheers Adam |

Do any of the sample tunes play slowly or is it just the one you created? How many tracks/instruments are there?
Which audio driver is Fruity Loops using? The M-Audio ASIO one could be causing latency/slowdown, but it's usually reliable. Try switching to DirectSound or Soundblaster, or update the drivers. I haven't used Fruity Loops for a while so I'm a bit vague on its setup... is there any way to manually set the buffer rate in Options? btw, I'm starting to run out of ideas, so can anyone else help?
