Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 8.

Is it necessary to plug some sort of power cable into Sound Cards? There are a few slots on the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 8 sound card that look like they get plugged into, but I have no connector that will fit them.

The connectors on a sound card are ussually for internal
audio connections to the CD drives and normally are
unnecessary unless you are running digital audio
from a DVD,as the audio is transfered across the PCI bus.
Some creative labs cards also have a header with a bunch
of pins on it that is used to connect an optional adapter
that connects front ports in a drive bay.
