Mic doesn't work !!! Kindly Help.
Hello friends,
This is my first post here. My headset's mic simply doesn't work. I have tried everything but was unable to make it work. Here's the hardware specification so that you may be able to help me: * Pentium 4 3.2GHz * Intel D945GNT motherboard -- with on board sound card that uses SigmaTel Audio S/W Driver (800MHz Bus Speed) * NVidia GeForce 7800 GT Graphics Card with 256 MB RAM * 2GB DDR2 SD RAM * Windows XP SP2 My Drivers are latest. Sound is coming out but no input. My headset's mic still works on my previous old computer so it is not defective. I have checked that mic's pluged into correct socket. In audio control > options > properties > Recording radio button there are 3 options (1) Line in (out of question here) (2) Mic in (3) Microphone I have tried to check (2) and (3) and tried to record but invein. Also I have tried to test "1 Microphone boost" option but again in vein. I am getting frustrated as without it I can not check with others using Yahoo Voice / Skype. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!! |
