I have C-media ac97 onboard and creative audio pci card installed.
I had problems with sound and video for awhile dragging when playing it sounds like the sound stops for a fraction of second and jumps. This happens 10 to 12 times during a song. I've done all the most common troubleshooting. -Diabled and enabled in BIOS. -Check and installed new drivers. -Troubleshoot thru Device Manager. Heres the kicker. I installed a new hdd and cloned the old to the new using xxclone software making the new a bootable and first to boot drive. When I finished, it set the system, booted and my sound and video played perfectly until I rebooted. Then the old problems returned. What is happening when the system shuts down and boots?????? Anybody Please Help |

Go to start/control panel double click system, click the hardware tab,
click the device manager button. Click the + next to IDE/ATAPI controllers. Right click the primary and secondary controllers in turn and select the advaced tab. Make sure they are set to DMA if available. If not,set them and reboot. Having a hard drive and a CDrom device on the same IDE channel can also cause the problem.
