skipping sound while playing music??? AC97 on board sound!
I recently reinstalled my computer and everything seemed to be working but i came across the fact that my my sound skips very briefly and randomly whenever i play music and other sounds. This continues when i play it from CDs and from my hard drive. I have loaded the sound drivers more than once and looked for other drivers that might work. my sound is onboard and my motherboard is SKT600 and the sound is C-Media AC97 audio device...
Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Have you tried this one for the Chaintech SKT600...
Chaintech Sigmatel CODEC AC'97 Audio Driver 1.08 EDIT: You could also adjust the audio acceleration to a lower setting in Control Panel > Sounds and Audio devices > Audio tab > Advanced > Performance.
