More fun with Realtek and friends...
I have a small problem. It's not serious, but it is annoying. I have recently got myself a new PC with an ATI Xpress 200 based motherboard with a Realtek AC97 sound processor. The sound is fine (in fact way better than that horrible Dell Inspiron 5150 I used to have), but I have a 2.1 speaker setup (2 stereo speakers and a subwoofer) and no sound will come at all from the subwoofer. I have the latest drivers (3.77) but I can't configure them to work (the only logical option is the 2 channel setup which I use now) Windows XP gives me now alternative drivers to use and when I search on the net I get nothing. All I want is the nice bass I had from my subwoofer...
Does anyone know of a compatible driver that supports 2.1 setups or of a decent workaround? Please help! |
