new sound card doesnt work

hi,

Recently i had my motherboard replaced and the oinboard sound card did not work, so i bought a new pci card and have installed it, when i go into device manager there is only one yellow exclamation mark next to nVIDIA WDM video capture (universal), and when ive instaslled the driver, afterwards it says device cannot start (code 10), any ideas anyone?

p.s. could it be something to do with my motherboard that both soundcards do not work?

code 10 usually means the drivers are not installed or corrupted run the setup disk again

have you disabled the onboard

OK dont look at me as dumb here , but i got the line in colour on my soundcard confused with the line in colour on my onboard soundcard, so i was infact connected to the line out on my sound card because it is the same colour as my line in on my onboard card. but all is well now after a day of dumbness.
