Finding a soundcard

I have a sound card in this computer, however i do not have the driver. I am very aware taht i can download one, but i can't find what sound card it is. I tried "dxdiag" and it only stated that there was no sound card and it needed a driver if i knew there was one.
Help me out?

Physically take the card out and see if there is a brand name written on it.

I don't understand your situation. You are trying to find drivers for a soundcard, but you don't have permission to open the side panel of "your" computer? Why is that?

You should also check Device Manager to see if it lists the name of your card.

It isn't my computer, sorry. And it doesn't say under device manager.

My System

Download Everest Home Edition, free from http://www.lavalys.hu/products/overv...?pid=1&lang=en

Run it and go to Computer > Summary > Multimedia
The name of your soundcard will be in blue. Click it to bring up a popup which links you to the latest drivers.

Easy!
