Playback Issues
Ok, I'm not sure if this is even a sound card issue, but I figured this would be the best place to ask for help.
My PC is running win xp home (sp2) and I have a very basic 24 bit Soundblaster Livewire card. I had some songs and such that I ripped from some cd's awhile ago and they play beautifully. The sound also works whenever I play video clips I find off the internet. I also play Star wars Galaxies online and, again, the sound plays as good as its gonna on such a cheap card! The problem is thet recently when I try to listen to, play or rip cd's they sound as if each second of the song is being played twice. I have two cd drives and both sound the same when playing (burning, ripping) cd's, so I don't think the drives themselves are broken. I've tried using a few programs (winamp, win media player ect) and downloading all of the codecs I could find (tho that is kind of more for a video issue I had awhile ago) to no avail. So, any idea's? |

YOu mean like an echo? It sounds like the sound is being fed from two sources and once is slightly delayed. if you open your volume control, the mute every sound/volume source except the cd, do you still get it?
