since Microsoft wants to earn money from a 3:rd party software developer. The warning is just that it did not pass microsoft quality assurance test = the developer did not want to pay microsoft to get this certificate. Just click yes, and I am sure the outcome will be good.

Sounds (pun intended) like your card has become disabled in bios hardware settings. Run bios setup at boot up.

You won't be able to unistalll drivers becacse your system is not detecting the sound card hardware (sorry dai, you must have missed that bit).

When you boot up the PC you will get writing/text on your screen as it boots up and goes through the 'power on self tests' POST! There will be information on memory graphics card and a whole host of other stuff before you get to the windows startup screen. YOu should at some stage (early in the process) see text on the display that says "Press Del to enter setup" or something like that. if you press the del (delete) key, (or whatever key your system tells you) you will be taken into the bios setup menu.
