My Windows-Computer plays all sounds at a lower rate. if you listen to it, it seems slower and lower frequency. this is with all programs, such as windows-media player, skype or mplayer. with streamed media or music cd-roms or a standard moviue DVD.
any idea? thanks, klaus |

LOL I thought the same thing. Does everything sound slow in real life as well?
Sometimes midi files slow down when other processes are running, but that doesn't affect any of the programs you mention. Try updating your drivers. It could be a problem with the audio clock on your sound card. Control Panel > Sounds/Multimedia > Audio tab > Sound Playback > Advanced > Performance tab, and set the hardware acceleration to a lower level. Also have a look in Windows Media Player under Tools > Options > Devices > Speakers > Properties, and try an alternative audio device.
