EEK! sb 5.1 no card detected

i have just put in a sound blaster sound card 5.1 and there is a message saying sound blaster not detected. i have managed to install the driver and get the thing working and the sound is great but i want to install the whole package from the disc.
The diagnostic says no card detected and tells me to take it out and reinstall which i have done to no avail.
anyone help

With my audigy2 (from same company obviously) whenever I tried to install it with the CD it said it wasn't detected... I had to download the drivers from soundblaster.com, use those, then when it said it detected it, I went back and installed from the CD... Then of course I re-installed the ones off soundblaster.com cuz they were newer
