sound card recommendation
I'm looking for a recommendation for a good, affordable sound card for my PC. I'm interested in one that supports MIDI and will work with basic MIDI functions in programs such as Finale and Reason. I'm not looking to spend the big bucks, and I'd prefer something external that doesn't require opening up the computer to install. Any suggestions?

If you want it cheap and simple, Creative Labs have a good range of USB SoundBlaster externals.
www.dealtime.com/xGS-external_sound_card Personally, I'd go for an internal PCI card.
