Please Help:Freezing due to soundcard

i have a soundblaster live 5.1.i installed latest drivers after reinstalled xp but i have strange problem.i can listen and play anything but sometimes (especially in the games) my computer freezes and i hear a bad sound from my speakers.i tried other drivers, i formatted xp, i changed the place of soundcard on the motherboard but i could not solve the problem.i dont know when it will freeze but i know it will sometime, while i was working,playing warcraft 3 at anytime...i have an ASUS A7V600-X motherboard, AMD Athlon 2600 processor, Ati Radeon 9200 graphic card nad 5.1 philips speakers.i tried to install embedded soundcard on asus, AC97 and i worked once.but i want to know whether i can solve this problem or not.IMPORTANT NOTE:Soundblaster worked and it did not create any problems in mandrake linux OS.please help me!!!
