Soundblaster Live 24bit minimum requirements

Hallo,

Ik have recently bought a SoundBlaster Live 24Bit soundcard.
Its been installes in a Dell Dimention 4100 733mhz 200Mb computer with Win98se.

It sounds like the computer cant quite handle de soundcard processor, crackles.

Would it be a good idea to change it for the older Soundblaster Live card?
That one seemed to work wel, and I can still replace it! I can swap with my neighbour's soundcard.

On your dell, does it happen on all playback or just playbacks of recording through mic/line-in? If you are recording, are the jacks in the front or the back?
