No sound what so ever!
After reformatting my pc, my sound dissapeared!
Windows doesn't seem to find any audio devices. Exept things like audio codecs etc... When an error pops up, it makes this sort of "beep!" Noise, its very weird. Can anybody help me? |

Look in sounds&audio devices in the contol panel and under the audio tab see if the sound card is recognised there. What is the exact error message you are getting? You most probably need the drivers for either the sound card or the motherboard. When that happened to me I had to get mine for the mobo on their website. You may need to do the same. [It happened to me right after re-installing XP, as if they had been deleted or something] Anyway, hope this helps.

You can download Everest from http://www.lavalys.com/products/down...?pid=1&lang=en
Install and run the program, then go to Computer > Summary > Multimedia > Audio Adapter. In the Value column it should give you the name of your soundcard. Click it and you'll see 2 links, one for Product Information and the other to update its driver. |
