2 questions related to each other
I have a realtek audio hd sound card. Works fine, except that the stereo mix is greyed out. Loads of other people have problems similar, and i have all the up to date drivers.
Now their is a driver missing on my device manger, called windows audio bus. Im not even sure if i have this on my computer because xp hasn't re installed it at any point during boot up etc. Now could these problems be related, and is their anyway to solve the stereo mix function. THank you. |

Re: 2 questions related to each other
well i haven't reinstalled it. Basically my old computer crashed, and somone offered to rebuild it. Well, he couldn't salvage any parts except the dvd drive.
SP3. I will also mention that all audio works fine, its just i can't record/ even change stereo settings :p |

Re: 2 questions related to each other
The Windows Audio Bus is the high definition bus driver needed for your Realtek.
http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOU...on-Audio.shtml The UAA bus driver and http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en net framework 2.0 should be installed for your audio first, then your sound drivers for Sp3.

Re: 2 questions related to each other
Typically when something is greyed out, it is a driver issue (typically corrupt or incorrect drivers) or an item not supported by hardware.
