No Sound for multimedia anything

When i try to open iTunes, Windows media player, VLC player, Youtube, etc. No sound comes out of either my Realtec speakers/sub, or if i unplug them, no sound comes through my monitor speakers. I checked all sound drivers, and they're all good. I did a speaker diagnosis test, and sound comes then... just nothing to do with mutlimedia... Any help???

Goto Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices Properties / Device Volume Advanced button and ensure all of the volume controls are turned up and not muted.
