My E-mu 1616 drivers will not install

I have an Emu 1616m installed in my PC using a pc card. When I try to install the drivers for it a message pops up saying "Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system." I went over the technical specifications on the product and it says that the Pci slot must be 2.2 compliant. How do I find out of my Pci slots are 2.2 compliant? This may be my issue, i'm not too sure yet.
I took out my original SoundBlaster Audigy 2 card out of it's Pci slot and replaced it with the E-mu Cardbus Pc Card. Did I need to uninstall the original Creative software before my computer can even recognize the new hardware?

This was very expensive and I really need some help...

My specs:
Windows xp Sp3
intel 4 cpu 3.4 ghz
3.37gb ram
motherboard/chipset:
Asus P5LD2-X/1333

The spec actually says v2.1 or higher. PCI spec 2.1 was established in 1995.

Have you tried the drivers from the webpage?
