Trouble with C-Media 8738 card
Hi there. I've recently formated my C: and when installing drivers, I noticed that the sound card CD was scratched, so I had to download the files. Setup was succesful, I do have sound, but it's so noisy. I describe it as the hiss-pop noise you get when touching wires of a speaker, kind of a soft saturation. Speakers and wires are OK, so it's a software problem.
The setup file version is 9.1.0.429. Maybe that's a clue; maybe the CD I mentioned had an older version which worked better on my PC. I gently ask you for some help. Thank you very much. Alexis |
