no sound in internal speakers

i'm using a compaq cq20-103TU. I have a problem with the internal speakers. there's no sound coming from them but headphones are working just fine. i tried some troubleshooting suggestions but there seems to be no problem with the sound card or the driver.

please help me. i .

Re: no sound in internal speakers

the speaker could be dead. try a different set of speakers and see whether it makes a difference or not.
