sound card delay problem x-fi prelude 7.1
Hi there,
Have recently purchased a sound card x-fi prelude 7.1, was previously using an onboard soundcard with audio mb driver. Am recording music using adobe audition, with a 4-track being used as the pre-amp into the computer. Am having a problem with a slight delay when using the x-fi sound card, the sound card is ASIO and I have attempted to adjust the latency setting (which is there for the purpose of minimising delay such as this) but it doesn't seem to make much difference. The delay is slight but I notice it when attempting to record a track in multitrack when playing along to another instrument. In comparision to my onboard sound card, there is no noticeable delay. Seems one of these computer things that isn't making much sense. I've made plenty of adjustments in 'audio hardware setup' through adobe audition, also adjusting settings in sound card software 'audio creation mode', such as 'enable bit matched playback' in order to bypass any eq's or sound processing. I've also updated the driver and reinstalled. Wonder if anyone can suggest anything or has had a similiar experience. Thanks, Simon |
