Sound Card or Input Problem?
So here's the deal,
Few days ago I stupidly knocked over a cup of water onto my Asus laptop and some water went through the keys on the keyboard where the Fn, Ctrl, windows, Alt keys were. The water messed up my sound really bad as well as temporarily kept all of those 4 keys pressed down and could not be unpressed even though I've lifted the keys out. So when all the water has dried, my sound slowly came back, also all of the keys were functioning as normal again and a few hours later everything was back to normal. Now today is the 3rd day, and I'm wondering if my hardware is damaged because complete sound on my laptop keeps turning off and I have to restart to make it work again. This method worked a few times but now the sound stays off completely. I would also like to add that when speakers are hooked up, there is no sound. When there is no speaker input, there is still no sound. My question is, should I open up my laptop to see what kind of damage was done with the water? or is there another way around this? Any help is appreciated, thanks. Note: I'm pretty good with computers so I've basically done everything except open up to see what damage the water has done( seemed to work fine, under device manager the device says its working).
