Echo Audiofire 2 Soundcard problem - NO SOUND!
I recently purchased a firewire Audiofire 2 sound card. I have a 800/400 converter firewire cable running from the Audiofire 2 to my firewire adapter I bought and put in the PCI slot.
I have XLR to quarter inch cables running from my monitor speakers into the Outs in the Audiofire 2. However, I have no sound. I open up the Audiofire console mixer and it shows that I'm playing music in Winamp. I upgraded the firmware and drivers from their website. And I installed Windows XP SP3. Yet, I still have no sound. Yes, I have gone into control panel and picked Audiofire sound card. The only thing I can think of is that I'm running the XLR thru a quarter inch adapter and then into the Audiofire but I dont think that would be an issue because they worked on my old sound card. ![]() ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL HELP! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! |

Re: Echo Audiofire 2 Soundcard problem - NO SOUND!
Hi there
![]() Seems you have some issue with the audio setup on your computer there. Did you able to get the sound working with the same configurations as the one you have now with your previous old sound card? Also can you post the configurations of your sound system in more specific because it seems quite technical ![]() And also did you check whether all the setup is fine, such as any loose connections anywhere?
