Soundcard khz/speaker set

I am inexperienced with soundcards and looking for a little input.
I'm thinking about buying a logitech z-5500 speaker system. On the specifications section for this product on newegg.com it says,

"Digital equalization: The Z-5500 Digital actively adjusts frequency response in real time for the cleanest, most accurate sound reproduction.
DTS® 96/24 support: Enjoy studio-quality sound thanks to the Z-5500's support for 96 kHz / 24-bit digital audio streams."

What I'm focusing in on is the 96kHz. The two soundcards I'm looking at, one has 96kHz, the other 192 kHZ, with a substantial price difference.

My question is, does the Z-5500 support 192 kHz (it makes no mention of it), or would it be a waste to buy that sound card if the speakers arent up to par with it?
