[SOLVED] No sound with DVD's, but CD's play fine

I've built a new computer with a Gigabyte motherboard that has on board sound. I've also installed a Pioneer DVD+/-RW drive, but it won't play DVD Audio. It plays Audio CD's perfectely. The computer plays the video from DVD's, but it does not play any audio. Please help.

Thanks,
Vroom

What program are you using to play the the DVD? This is not a hardware issue.

Try downloading and installing an AC3 filter.

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

This is probably a problem with your Windows installation or player software.
Try Media Player Classic:

VLC:

Your welcome. It would also be very appreciated if you would mark the thread solved from the thread tools menu. This helps distinguish threads that are completed from threads that still need assistance.
