a new soundcard issue
hi
i have the encore soundcard enm232-6via an d it seems to have inconsistant sound...one minate its to low and then its too loud.ive installed it and in my computer and its got some beauitful sound besides this issue.im thinking its a config problem but i could be wrong.any suggestions?let me know.thanks. coonsanders |

Your sound card is known to be problematic and has a VIA (second worst) chipset. Your card needs a driver update or the circuitry is bad. Consider doing an update on the driver and cleaning the card. If that fails then you have a bad card.

Did you disable your onboard sound?....this could be conflicting with the sound card?

zero is it really that bad?gawd...i think i found the problem however i had the wrong sample rate in it...im using 44.1 but i had the card on 48....hope that

Normal cards should automatically change the sample rate. The only worse chipset than VIA for sound cards is Realtek.
