Mistake vaio no sound

hello
ok so couple of days ago i was just listening to some songs on my laptop.(VGN-SZ75Gn/B to be precise) and all of a sudden i couldnt hear anything.My audio was gone.It's been a week now and still thre's no sound.All my drivers are working,i have checked the control panel a gazillion time.
have also done the whole restart thing.No progress
.I use vista business by the way.
There are no buttons muted or anything i can absolutely assure you everything is in order.
Yet no sound.
Im about to go crazyyyyyyy please help!!!!!!

Download realtek audio drivers that come with a sound manager. Click the picture of a file folder near the top right of the window and there will be an option for you to enable/disable back panel. Renable it .You should give it a try.

well i dowloaded realtek audio but the thing is as soon as i restart vista automatically re installs my old audio driver " high definition audio device"
help!!!

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

You need to remove the previous driver before installing a new one.

Drive sweeper:

remove previous audio driver through add/remove in control panel
use the drive sweeper program to remove any remaining remants of the audio driver
reboot pc
install new audio sound driver
reboot pc
