Accidentally removed something sound related
Hi everyone
I was just cleanin up my comp and removing programs that I hardly use and I must have removed something related to my sound. I'd say I'm pretty moderate with computer info and had no idea I was removing something important so this is all a surprise. I have an HP Desktop and running Windows Vista. When I attempt to play a file in windows media player the message "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly." comes up and in iTunes it says "some files may not play properly" I removed about 5 or 10 programs that I hardly use and thought weren't important (guess I was wrong lol). Is there a way that I can see which programs I uninstalled so that I can re install the driver(?, if it was a driver..) Or does anybody have a clue as to what I must have removed and how to solve this problem? Thanks a lot!

Re: Accidentally removed something sound related
Hello,
Post the model number for the HP. Try reinstalling the Driver from the manufacturer website.
