Sound Issue

I suppose its not related to the soundcard, but...
I have a USB SteelSeries 5Hv2, and out of the USB is a green + pink. My audio cut off on my steelseries headset, so I have pink going in and my monitors stereo going in.
Now, my mic is fine, (Ventrilo) but when I enter almost all games, when I speak while its running my mic apparently sounds like crap but when I test I cant notice.
I checked audio options, voice chat and mic is disabled ingame and the only other settings are the volume.

Maybe its, not appearing in options, but is changing my audio.
For instance, in World of Warcraft, the audio changes ingame, and once I exit the audio improves.
If there is a program or way to override a program fiddling with my audio that might help.

All peoples voices are distorted by some degree when speaking into a microphone. If your computer does not have enough processing power or bandwidth to do the recording while playing the game the quality of the recording would suffer.
