Re: Help no sound!!! : (
In the specs of ur PC it says u have a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 5.1 sorround sound card. Under sound and audio devices in device manager r there any exclamation or question marks next to any of the listed devices, especially one that says multimedia audio controller or something along those lines as that would be ur intergrated sound device and it just needs the drivers installed! it says it is a AC'97 device so u shouldn't have any probs as they r common. best place would be the Dell website and look under support for audio drivers for ur PC make\model. I'm no pro or anythin but thats my guess =). I have the same prob whenever i format and reinstall windows from scratch and i keep a backup of all my motherboard drivers for all my PC's!
p.s u might want to download all the other drivers for ur motherboard as they were deleted along with windows and that virus during reinstallation=) Hope i was of help! |

Thanks for the reply,
No i have no exclamation marks beside the devices. I went onto the dell website...again! and there are 2 audio downloads both optional i have downloaded the first one fine but the second one it gets half way through then says 'setup did not detect the requiered components and closed...where in the dell list would i find the motherboard downloads...sorry im very tarzan like with my computer..well compared to most of you on here! |
