no sound after reformat...

after i reformat my computer (virus issues), i have no sound.

at the device manager. there was a yellow question mark. ( multimedia audio controller)

at the sound and audio device, it said "no audio device"

my computer system was:

Microsoft windows xp professional
version 2002
service pack 2.

i know that i need to know the model of my computer's chipset/motherboard. but i don't know how to do it.

before, a TS supporter give me the link to this software where i can find the name of my chipset/motherboard but i forgot it now..

can you guide me step by step to solve my sound problems.

I REALLY THANK you for your help in advance.
