I am using Sigmatel audio device, Sound icon is not coming automatically while starting the system. In the control panel, I checked in Volume Tab of Sounds and audio devices , i see " no audio device found", when i check Test Hardware button in Voice tab i get a message " windows cannot execute DpvSetup.exe, use Add/remove programs control panel to install" and if I check in Hardware tab I see Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer is not working properly.
I have attached the print screen for this error messages.. Please some help me .. thanks in advance |

Re: No Sound device
You have an error in the setup of the driver that controls your sound card. Open up Device Manager and reinstall the driver.

I have the exact same problem. Sorry, to jump into this tread. My search brought me here. I have tried this serval times, downloading the correct drivers for my system of course. My pc is a dell dimensions e310. Do you have any more suggestions? I have no yellow question marks in device manager and it says the device is working properly. |

Re: No Sound device
Install the audio device manually.
No, not at this time Install from a list or a specific location Dont search, I will choose the driver to install now navigate to the audio file and select it.
