New headphones. Mic don't work?

I just bought these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826102041

I hooked everything up, and can't get my mic to work. The laptop I am using recognised the mic, and headphones. The headphones work great, but the mic don't work at all.

Turn up the mic up all the way (over 50db) and it should work.

It only goes up to (20db)

just contacted the company, and the mic works with voice recorder, but not with my games.

Right click on the sound icon and go into the options. There may be a couple options in the recording side for your microphone. Try changing it to another option that your microphone works with and see if anything changes.
