Sound card blocked

I have installed Cyberdefender for my antivirus/antispyware and now do not
have access to my sound on my computer. I called their tech support and got a 45 minute sales pitch on using them and the Geek squad for $539 to fix my computer. Has anyone had this problem?

Should I just remove them and put something else on for antispyware? Which should I use?

My System

Re: Sound card blocked

Yeah, I would remove it and see what happens. Let us know if you still don't have sound after removal.

For spyware, Spybot Search and Destroy is great and free. If you need/want an integrated suite of both antivirus and antispyware than take a look at AVG (http://free.avg.com). It has it's own issues (I get BSOD's on one of my systems with it) but I have seen others here that use it and like it.

If you decide to pay a little money for piece of mind than try Vipre. It's pretty light weight and highly recommended. http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Home-Home-Office/VIPRE/
