Creative Labs SB/hs-1200 Headphones

Hi, I recently purchased a headphone set from a store in my shopping center and now it is falling apart. The microphone boom is faulty by to heavy. It clunks down like a dead weight. It don't even have a guide out. Am I supposed to send it in before warrenty is over? Or buy another better headset. Is there a certain voltage adapter to power them more and also with a power meter on screen display. Does someone have a solution for repair by hand or software? I don't want to use my usb power supply too can someone recommend another different power unit adapter with the same upper power up instead of 3 hours of guess and bog with a complete shut down guess. I like my headphones to last not to make me sick and faulty. I also don't enter code of copywrite drivers so I am not asking for a solution. Anyone know how to fix this headset on youtube?
