Sound card may be dysfunctional?
I currently have a set of Logitech X-540 70 watts 5.1 Speakers and they have been squeeking every time there is a high pitch sound. I have already replaced them, and it is still happening..
before I go out and get a new sound card, I would like to make sure it could possibly be the sound card and I won't just be wasting money. I have an on board sound card Realtek ALC888. Is there something right off the bat that says this sound card cannot handle the speakers very well?
