Cannot turn on sound
I have a compaq laptop running xp. Yesterday I discovered that I cannot turn the sound on. There is a button on the top of the laptop to mute all sound that lights up when muted and when pushed it will not unlight so to speak.
I went to the control panel and sound and devices thinking maybe the button was broken, but the speaker settings are grayed out. Can someone suggestion a solution? Thanks! Hallie |

Re: Cannot turn on sound
Hello what is the model number of the laptop?
Try running a System Restore. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the manufacturer website.
