Realtek HD Audio Stereo Mix

I have the same problem like the rest have with Realtek HD Audio with no stereo mix. Can't seem to follow the solution. I'm running on Windows XP (SP2) btw. I tried installing VAC, but it keeps having that voice saying 'trial version' and I can't seem to be able to configure it properly, so I uninstalled it. Is there any other solution?

Thanks for posting.

You can try running a cable from your line-out to your line-in. You didn't mention what your computer was put I'll assume it is a laptop. Do you have any pc speakers? Use that cable to test. If you have to purchase one, note that there are mono and stereo version. You will want the stereo and it will be the more expensive of the two (still under $10 if you are in the states try radioshack).
