Weird voices in my speakers.
Hi,
For a couple of weeks now on my brothers computer he has been hearing strange voices in his speakers. Sometimes playing old fashion music or some sort. The only way to hear this is to put the speakers right up to your ears and if you turn up the volume the voices go away. I have scanned the computer for viruses as well but there is non. At the moment it sounds like its some TV show and you hear a man speaking. The speakers are Logitech X-530 (Refresh) 5.1 Channel Speakers. Thanks, Andy. |

Re: Weird voices in my speakers.
I've never heard of speakers being possessed before, is it possible they cold be picking up signals from something else?

Re: Weird voices in my speakers.
I've seen a thread or two on this but always chalked it up to guys not sleeping much and having nothing to do but play games with forum folks.
One common thread that I saw was that cheap PC speakers were receiving signals from either CB radio sources or some kind of radio station. I wouldn't necessarily call the X-530's cheap but they are close. One of the things recommended was to use ferrite toroids but no one ever said that it worked for them (never said that it didn't either). You can get an idea of what they are and how to use them here : Sound & Static interfering with your Music enjoyment. Maybe also play around with how your speaker wires are placed. Does it happen when they are close together, far away? You can also try another outlet, preferably on a different circuit, to plug your speakers, and/or computer into? Let us know how it goes.
