Gateway's Dumb Sound Cards

I'm using a Gateway MT3705 that runs Vista Home Premium and a Sigmatel High Definition Audio Codec that only has a mic for it's audio recorders and no stereo mix, which I'm trying to find a driver for but when I do my sound doesn't work at all and a red x appears on my volume icon stating that no audio device is installed.

Please help me, haha, please. Any help greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, you are probably out of luck with your onboard audio.

Best thing to do, depending on what you are trying to do, is to get a cheap usb audio card.
