Installed New Sound Card; Hearing Sound Through 2 Sources

Yesterday I purchased a Creative - Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 External USB Sound Card from Best Buy so that I could get a much higher quality sound for my music that I play through my home theater system. The installation was a breeze, but whenever I went to play music, I was hearing music through my home theater speakers, but wasn't able to use my SRS Audio Soundbox software that was previously enhancing the sound.

Is there a way to use my SRS Audio Soundbox software with my new external soundcard? Whenever I tried testing both options under the "Sounds" section, I could hear the new sound card's sound through my home theater speakers, but the SRS just through my laptop speakers.

No problem on the bump, if it were anywhere else on TSF you would have had a response by the end of the day.

You did mean SRS Audio Sandbox?

What's your connection to your Home Theater? SPDIF?

Does Creative show up in Sandbox?

I don't have any real world experience with Sandbox, just read about it so I can't say for sure, but have you looked at your options for SPDIF in Creative's software. You might not be able to output more than just 2 channel audio and any other effects might not pass thru SPDIF. Of course, I would expect the same for your laptop and if you have SPDIF connections on your laptop than that is a mute point.
