Asus p4s800 XP Home audio not working problem
Hi all, My pc is an ASUS p4s800 motherboard, my soundcard is (i suppose) soundmax onboard device... my problem start here...
days ago i fully formatted and 1st of all i installed soundmax audio drivers, but no sounds, no problems in the device manager all seems ok... my speakers works fine on others pc... so i formatted again.. still no sound...i checked bios and the ac97 (?????*** my pc says are soundmax not ac!) is setted to automatic (else possible to set disable)... seems ok.. then i tryed ac97 audio drivers... bham! pc reboots at the last file in the driver pack! so i think that drivers are not compatible .... (i remember u that the drivers i tryed are the lastest for ac97 and the lastest showed in asus website for soundmax--- btw days ago before i broke my videocard [that's why i formatted after buy a new one] my audio worked ...) are days i don't know where to put my hands... here is a screen of my device manager: ![]() see ? all seems ok... well here is the everest log ah! i forgot to tell that i followed the steps on "Sound problems? Try these things first." and nothing :P Last edited by PuffetePuffete; 04-12-2009 at 12:23 PM. |
