Sound only out of front speakers. Please help
Hi I am having some problems with my sound. My motherboard is KN1SLI lite which has 8 channel line out and I hooked up my 5.1 surround sound speakers (Logitec inspire 5.1 creative) to it and installed the driver (Realtek AC'97). After I went in to AC97 Audio Config. program to set up speakers and when tested them out within the program I got response from all the speakers.
Problem: With certain programs only my front speakers work. Internet explorer/Firefox/Counter-Strike and some other seem to have this problem. also the windows turn on and turn off sound only comes out of the front speakers. -yet itunes/wmp/counter-strike source and other programs work fine. I use windows XP sp2. I have went to control panel and went into sound audio devices to make sure realtek ac97 was selected and that the speaker setup was 5.1 surround sound. Also i have upgraded AC97 driver but no change. i have had this problem ever since i got this computer and i am trying to figure out if there is a way to fix it. even after extensive searches on the internet i coulndt find the solution. Please help me out, -Alex |
