XFI Extreme Music PCI card problems!

I took this sound card out of my other computer and installed it in my newer cpu. As soon as I installed it, I tried to update the drivers and when I updated the drivers my computer began BSOD's. It got so bad, I had to eventually do a clean install of my os (Vista Business). Should I go ahead and install the sound card, but instead of using the cd for drivers just go to creative and get the latest drivers? I am hesitant about putting the sound card back in since my computer is now back to normal....

Asus M2N SLI mobo with NF560-SLI chipset
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 5400+ 2.81 GHz processor
2GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB PCIe
Soundblaster XFI Extreme Music PCI card
550 Watt Power Supply
Vista Business 32bit

I updated my bios and my chipset drivers and video card drivers with no problem after I did the clean install.

Thanks in advance
