My computers Audio is skipping

Hello I have a lenovo X61 laptop running windows vista and i have been noticing some issues with my audio playback.

All of my music files are mp3's and i have tried listening to the audio on both itunes and songbird and have had this problem both times, any suggestions would be great, and if you need a couple more specs, just let me know. Thanks in advance

Check to see if your cpu is spiking to 100% when this is happening.

Alt-CTRL-DEL and select Task Manager than play your music file.

i seem to have found a quick solution for now, i updated my system and it works again lol
