one headset wont work

well basically i have 1headset thats quiet old and is begining to die and not so long ago i got another one on offer for when it did, now this new one worked fine maybe a few days ago and has not been touched since but now that the old one has completely died in 1 side of the headset (the wire has broken a bit) the new one doesnt work at all.... what on earth could cause this? there is nothing wrong with the new one it hasnt been touched.

PS the new one is a logilink HS0011 the old one is a Fatal1ty creative HS. well thats what it says im not sure of the model number or anything.

My System

Re: one headset wont work

Where are you plugging it in? Front panel?

Try the back to see if it is your front panel.

What are your system specs?

Re: one headset wont work

back panel, my front panel doesnt have the plugs, and soundcard is the MS-7255s onboard default. i think, it says VIA VT8237A/8251 High Definition Audio Controller.
