no sound or ethernet windows xp pro

I reloaded my hp computer with xp pro, and now I don't have any sound, and my ethernet port doesn't work. I can't connect to the internet to download drivers in I have no ethernet. hp compaq dx2000mt

You should install the chipset driver first.

How do I load the chipset driver?

I'm assuming that you have to download on a seperate computer and transfer to the affected one.

Once the driver is on your hard drive just double click on the file and it will install (it's an exe file).

Let us know how it goes.
