How long has the problem been around? And what were the circumstances surrounding the lose of your audio, assuming you had it working at one point? Windows update? Added new hardware? Software?

What is the make and model # of your computer?

Thanks! I don't think that there were any changes that I made. I have an HP Pavilion d8000. The audio went out before and I restarted the computer and it worked again. I have tried that this time and it didn't work. I will try the things in the article. Thanks!
