need an upgrade or fix suggestion
I have an hp pavilliandv900, running the stock sound card.
I am running a program called serato which converts mp3 files then sends the signal to an interface which allows me to control the file with a turntable, the turntable plays the mp3 as an analog sound through a mixing boad then out to my speakers...that part runs great now i am trying to record the performance into an open source recording program called audacity. Also running on the same computer. Its recording and working...but the recording is very poor quality. my analog out put is 2 rca adapters....at the moment im running rca to mic in as my input to the recording software my question is...is there a better way to connect? or do i just need a new sound card? if i do need a new card, can anyone suggest a vista compatible card that has some sort of rca in or rca to usb in? I am new to digital recording and just at wits end... any feedback would be greatly appreciated |

Re: need an upgrade or fix suggestion
Microphone jacks are typically not the best. Depending on your adapter you might be able to get better quality by moving the plug around in the jack.
If you are really into recording than maybe something like this would be better. http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHUCA202 Pauldo |
